During my time at Ola Cabs I noticed something many people don't talk about, it wasn't just the founder's expectations that made the culture tough. A lot of it came from how some senior leaders handled day-to-day operations. There was a constant fear in the air. People were publicly reprimanded, often for minor issues. Decisions like getting punished for missing a Sunday call or taking a day off were common, leaving everyone on edge. What truly surprised me was how some people quickly rose through the ranks, not because of their skills, but because of their ability to play office politics. As a result, most of us resorted to just doing the bare minimum to avoid trouble. The energy and drive typically associated with startups seemed absent. Many of my colleagues have expressed reluctance to join another startup due to the burnout they experienced at Ola. I completely understand their hesitation. I sincerely hope Ola can turn things around.

Simpl in Crisis? Heard that they are burning a lot in funding discounts on D2C websites they work with to retain them. BNPL is also not doing too well. IMO Simpl needs to get on Swiggy , Amazon , Flipkart , Ola Cabs Asap . A Good product and use case makes payments journey shorter will help you out in times of cash crunch month end days before salary drops . It's basically free money just take it and don't return it they can't even do anything if lots of us do it company can go bust in a day .
