What steps did you take during the development-to-launch phase? Any advice on how to streamline the process
A while back, I came up with an idea for TapBill, a simplified and affordable billing and inventory management solution for small restaurants, cloud kitchens, and cafés.A website for billing and history management.
Progress So Far
With the help of a friend, we’ve been working on the UI design to make it intuitive and user-friendly.
What’s Next?
1)Developing the Website – Building a fully functional backend and frontend using the MERN Stack.
2)Connecting with the Database – Setting up and integrating a database to store billing details, inventory, and customer data.
3)Hosting the Website – Deploying TapBill online for users to access anytime, anywhere.
4)Client Feedback – Sharing the prototype with potential clients to gather insights and make improvements.
My Question to You
📌If you’ve worked on a similar project, I’d love to hear from you! What steps did you take during the development-to-launch phase? Any advice on how to streamline the process or common pitfalls to avoid?

For the backend, use API versioning and ensure scalability as you grow. Start with a solid database structure to avoid pain later on.

[a team manager](username) Do you think focusing too much on scalability early on might slow things down or is it better to build it right from the start?

If you haven’t already, think about payment integration early! It’s often a headache closer to launch.

I have worked on something similar and one thing Id suggest is focusing on user testing as early as possible. It can save you a lot of rework later.

Sounds like a great project! During the development phase, make sure to focus on testing early and often. Get feedback on the UI from real users, not just friends.
