When 'Work-Life Balance' Becomes a Joke
My boss consistently waits until 5:30 PM to review my work, knowing full well it'll take longer than 30 minutes to make the changes. This consistently leaves me working late into the evening. It's incredibly frustrating and disrespectful. I wish he'd review my work earlier in the day so I could leave on time🙄

Indian Employees don't deserve 100% remote jobs as they aren't trustable enough!
Gave work from home to a few team members based on health reasons few months, only to find out they together planned a trip and went to Kasol!
Entire project got delayed due to those 3 people!
I can never risk going 100% remote with my team.
Team Spotify try doing this in India XD

I don't need a favor🙏
My manager is promoting me, but it feels more like a favor than recognition. I mean, if you’re promoting me, shouldn’t it be because I’ve earned it? I feel so pressured, like there’s a gun to my head. They keep saying, “Prove why you deserve this position.” It’s exhausting and disheartening

India has two sides....
First is,
People living in slums through forcefully occupying land are getting 2BHK from the government without paying anything to the government.
And the second is,
A corporate employee like me is paying 5 lakh tax each year to the government, and still living in a rented 2BHK. Because, lets be honest, we middle class people cant afford property in metros anymore!
And even if we are able to,
we need to pay a registration fee and stamp duty also to the government.
At one end, people, who are neither paying tax or contributing the least to the economy are getting everything from government.
At the other end, people like us who are paying taxes are getting nothing.
This is the situation of my country!

Ola owes me a huge amount!!
I don't get it,
If I cancel a cab I pay a cancellation fee
And now this is the 4th time a cab driver has cancelled my trip. For making me wait an average of 5-10 min for each.
Why isn't Ola paying me “Patience fee?”

How many of you are satisfied with what we are doing?
I’ve been working as a software professional for the past 7 years, but I’m not happy with my job.
In fact, I don’t like working for someone else’s company. Whenever I wear an ID badge around my neck, it reminds me that I’m a slave to the rat race.🧐
I’ve been thinking about this for a long time, and you might ask why I don’t just quit my job and pursue what I want to do.

#WassupWednesday - Last-Minute Tasks?
If something is really urgent, don’t give it to me at 4:50 PM when the workday ends at 5 PM😤
I’ll never get why some managers do this. If it’s that important, why not tell me earlier in the day?

A Quality Assurance Specialist
The Struggle of Small Town corporate employees in Metro cities is real!
They leave their homes, friends and family behind,
All in the hope of,
- Better salary
- Better profile
- Better opportunity
- Better infrastructure
Instead what they get is,
- Pollution
- Stressful jobs
- Unaffordable rents
- Chaotic environments
- Hours of time wasted in commute
- Little savings to no savings
Unless someone is earning far higher, allowing them to save a sizeable % of their income, the entire reason to move to a metro doesn't make any sense.
Being a person coming from Patna who's working in Delhi currently, I can vouch that all these things are true.
Which makes me wonder,
Why aren't we allowing jobs that can be done remotely, to be done remotely?
It'll save us a lot of resources, both physical and financial!
We need to have more conversations around this!

The impact of poor leadership is massive. Here’s what sets good and bad bosses apart:
-Good bosses:
- Give clear direction and trust their team.
- Listen to feedback and act on it.
- Support employee growth and development.
- Recognise effort and celebrate wins.
- Create a positive and productive environment.
Bad bosses:
- Micromanage and cause confusion.
- Ignore feedback until it's too late.
- Take credit for others’ work.
- Pass blame when things go wrong.
- Drain motivation and create unnecessary stress.
Good leadership builds teams up, while bad leadership breaks them down.
What do you think how can we persuade bad bosses with our thoughts?
By agreeing with them
By giving 1 on 1 feedback
Ignore completely

Don't Always Tell the Whole Truth
While honesty is generally valued, the workplace requires a strategic approach to communication. Sometimes, revealing the entire truth to your boss can lead to misunderstandings, damage your professional image, and create unnecessary conflict. It's important to choose your words carefully, focus on solutions, and avoid sharing sensitive or negative information. By being diplomatic and mindful of your communication, you can build trust, maintain positive relationships, and navigate challenges effectively.

SOT: Indian managers are more abusive
Root cause:
Culture- obedience and loyalty over questioning. This is what has been taught to us in our childhood
Hustle / Jugaad mindset- Over work. Pressure. Burden. Most of these things are justified under the title of jugaad.
Signs:
Micromanagement
Public shaming and name calling
Verbal abuse

YesMadam layoffs😤
A Noida-based startup's Yes Madam recent actions have left many scratching their heads. They surveyed employees about stress levels, only to lay off those who admitted to feeling stressed. Is this the future of workplace wellness? A modern problem requires a modern solution, they say. But is this really the solution we need?

My company is cheating the customers
I am working in a overrated interior designing company where they buy a Faber chimney for 40k and sells it for 110k INR in the name of modular kitchen designing, they collect lots and lots of hidden charges and also mispricing the gst of products for an example Tyrox handle should be given 18% gst they are charging 28% gst, even if they pay that 28% the quality of the product is very worst and final thing is that 45 days project delivery guarantee... even Mars can turn into blue but this company will never handover the project in 45 days, now my question is that I am feeling like I am getting paid from a sin and cursed money even if I work harder, I feel guilty when the customers are getting scammed in front of me what should I do, I need your inputs here, should I switch the company

Has anyone else experienced this kind of sudden shift from WFH to full-time office?
After months of working from home, they're suddenly forcing us to come back to the office, five days a week! And just a few days before announcing WFO, they removed unlimited leaves.
It's like they don't care about our lives outside of work. They're even tracking our attendance with a biometric system! And to top it all off, they're giving us a measly 5% appraisal, citing 'market conditions

My Secret Santa Experience😕
Okay, I know this might sound petty, but I feel pretty down after our Secret Santa. We set a 1000 rs limit, and I was really excited about it! I love giving gifts and put a lot of thought into mine for my coworkers. I even wrote a nice card and put it in a cute gift bag.
Then came the big day, and my manager handed me a box of...gourmet biscuits. Just a plain box, with my name scribbled on the tag. No wrapping, no effort.
Everyone else got such thoughtful gifts, and I felt like mine was a total afterthought. Like she just grabbed it off the shelf on her way to work. It wasn't about the money, it was the lack of effort. I'm easy to shop for! A nice mug, a candle, anything girly would have been fine.
It really hurt my feelings. I felt invisible like no one cared. I even cried in my car after.
If you don't want to participate in Secret Santa, say so! It's better than putting zero effort in and making someone feel bad.

Not all managers are toxic!
I’m having a tough time with one of my reportee. He is not meeting the deadlines and it’s starting to affect the overall performance of the team. I’ve tried to be understanding, but it’s getting to the point where it’s unfair to others.
I don’t want to be harsh, but I need to address the issue. Do you have any advice on how to talk to him about it without sounding too critical?

Managers Like this🤌
Today morning, I wasn't feeling my best.
Was busy cleaning the home till late night yesterday.
So I texted my manager if I could work from home.
She asked me what had happened.
And instead of giving lame excuses like headaches, diarrheas, or fevers. I told her, "I feel mentally low. I can complete all my tasks for the day, I just don't have the capacity to make it to office, meet people and hold on conversations..'
There were no questions asked. She agreed with a smile.
My work-day usually starts at 10. However today, I've been working since 9.
All so I don't let my manager down. Or hamper the faith, she has put in me.
Trust your team, and they will return it you, manifold.

Ola vs Uber vs Rapido? What is your go to platform for Office to Home Commute?
I personally used to love ola initially but their pathetic customer service made me uninstall the app.
Uber is decent and affordable mostly, but Rapido has been a game changer for a lady like me who often has to take late night rides.
They call me everytime I complete a late night ride only to check if I have reached safely.
I know it is a bit costlier generally but their safety priority has been amazing!
Rapido does the most rides in a day for a reason...
What's your favorite ride booking platform?

Ploting against good performers
It seems others plot against me in office, my team is performing well, other TLs seems jealous of me and manipulate things against me and now they successed in it, management has moved few top performing teammates from my team to other team and on available good performers teammates they put down taugh projects, even management is also not supporting in this, I feel like deceived and feel demotivated, My way of working is simple and I don't back bite others or try to butter or manipulate the things, I think this is my weakness..
Feeling pissed off, any suggestions how to deal with this kind of situations do other also face this kind of issues.

Dealing with Vague Feedback!
I'm so frustrated with my boss's vague feedback. It's like trying to read a mind reader! He'll say something like, "It's not quite right," or "It needs a bit more work."
I'm not a psychic! I need specific feedback, not cryptic messages. I want to know exactly what's wrong so I can fix it.
Does anyone else deal with this kind of feedback? How do you handle it?

Here's to my friends, family, my employer and Nirmala Tai🎉
As 2024 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on what truly matters.
And the answer is simple—
It's relationships. Not the money in the bank or the awards you collect or the Increments you get!
Over 85 years of research have shown that strong, positive relationships make us happier, healthier, and help us live longer.
This year, I made it a priority to spend as much time as possible with family and friends in my hometown, and it’s been the most rewarding decision.
Every long weekend I got, I tried spending it with them.
At the same time, I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to work a full time corporate job, contribute to my company and grow together as a team.
And even grateful to Nirmala Tai for taking away a huge chunk of my earnings as tax!
Looking ahead, my focus is clear: to become a better person, a better professional and pay as many taxes as possible as a corporate employee!
Here’s to 2025—let’s make it even more meaningful!

Burnout!
I've been feeling really off lately. It's like I've been on autopilot for the past two years. I've been chasing deadlines, perfecting reports, and taking on extra work. All for what? A decent paycheck?
I used to be so much more fun and carefree. I'd laugh, joke, and live in the moment. But now, I'm just going through the motions. I've lost that spark.
I feel like I'm trapped in a never-ending cycle of work. I can't remember the last time I truly enjoyed something. Does anyone else feel this way? How did you break free from this burnout loop?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Let's get our lives back!
