Burnout!
I've been feeling really off lately. It's like I've been on autopilot for the past two years. I've been chasing deadlines, perfecting reports, and taking on extra work. All for what? A decent paycheck?
I used to be so much more fun and carefree. I'd laugh, joke, and live in the moment. But now, I'm just going through the motions. I've lost that spark.
I feel like I'm trapped in a never-ending cycle of work. I can't remember the last time I truly enjoyed something. Does anyone else feel this way? How did you break free from this burnout loop?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Let's get our lives back!

The thing is we forget the daily routine our parents follow. You will notice a pattern towards a morning schedule, no matter how busy their rest of the day gets but they stick to the morning routine.
But as we grow up, we tend to forget or overlook these simple things since we either forget or go out of touch with them. Today's time is about how satisfied and normal you can be with less number of things.
The challenge is not to get distracted with too many things presented to us rather focus on those which we need and be satisfied with.

Unplugging from work for some time and having boundary would be a good way to bring life back to normal. For me it took a layoff to realize how much I was working. I am happier now.

The problem you have stated is with most of the people nowadays. The main reason behind this is listed below:
Over reliance on mobile phones and scrolling social media. We are chasing things by getting influenced because of big packages, flashy pics and twitter puts the last nail in the coffin.
We have so much engrossed ourselves in work that we are not able to switch ourselves once we are out of the office environment. This is due to the fact that now, WFH has come into existence more often and we tend to increase our working hours either by delaying things or by being lazy or could be any other reason.

Have been in a similar situation on and off honestly..
Things that helped me are 1st of all giving priority to my own health.. only work work work made me almost obese and I didn't have energy physically as well as mentally to do literally anything else. I started with morning/ late night (after office walks- wfh setup helped here) and recently joined gym to maintain a discipline.
2nd is I understood the importance of saying no.. recently switched jobs (4-5 mths back and understood the importance of this).. in my previous organisation I used to take up work well over my bandwidth just for the sake of looking "good performer" in the eyes of my bosses. All that extra work taking a toll on my health for a mere 2-5% extra increment now feels so idiotic. If you're good at doing what you are doing- you will get a good increment, bonus, etc. irrespective of whether you work extra or not.. if you dont get, then well the opportunities outside are always open.
Trust me, log out at what your normal working time is, give some time to yourself and your family and see the difference in a week!
Good luck bud!
