- you will learn all corporate skills like manipulation, patience, tolerance, fear & gaslighting
Dislikes
- no work life balance: last minute task assignment, judged for leaving on time, or hold you in name of meeting. They would shame you for not staying late. This has happened to all junior developers. Even if you are female, they would simply give example of other female and make you stay late. Some has stayed late till 2am for production release and it never got released
- low pay, very low appraisals: they don't appreciate your work rather to hide their incapability of running company they would put blame on employees. For 2024 they delayed appraisal by 2 months. Employee couldn't raise concern regarding this because in policy they was no mention on appraisal cycle.
- you can't take long leaves, even if you follow their policy and take leave according to leaves left in your bucket they will just change whole leave policy.
To one my colleague, it happened that he sent for leave approval a month ago and his team leader didn't approve it via email for a month. He went home assuming that his leave was approved since this is a startup and emailing is not the primary thing. That guy even worked late night on leave, on his team leader's request.
When he returned back to office, he got leave approved email from that team leader. To which my colleague replied requesting to make some of leave a WFH since he worked. To which team leader replied saying their is no WFH policy in this company, I just sent approved email so that your salary doesn't get deducted.
- policy just changes at drop of hat. if it favors too much to employee just change it.
- development is whole level chaos, no structure, neither they put effort to structure it. They don't respect any department. They are always looking for labor at cheap cost. You would be burdened with lot of other task which doesn't belong to your domain in name of "learning new skill". Actuality is they want work to be done at low price and wouldn't appreciate you for your hard work.
- I have seen hostile environment towards who are quiet, shy, under-confident people. Whether you are senior or junior it doesn't matter. They would insult you publicly, their is one higher senior who has humiliated this senior engineer in public and it had effected him such that he left the job immediately and he was a new joiner.
- they had hired people on 2yrs bond and sometimes they had held certificates for 2yrs. So beware of it and never get yourself into bond.
And the one who were in bond they don't have salary more than 15k. But I have seen senior with above 20yrs experience leaving company after 1 month with large in hand salary than these juniors but still he is not bonded.
My last thought to any employee who is looking for review:
Don't get fooled by their social media, as to market themself they would spend any amount in office trips in compare to paying people with equal to market.
They always promote content which they even give least priority like security.
They talk big but lack empathy, structure, and strategy to support employee well-being and professional growth.
