overall very sad experience with the work culture and the potential of the so called supervisors with designations.
I have given 5 years to company with pure hard work which my wns mail box can speak for me. WNS needs to do something about the traditional hierarchy and favourizem. Rotten mangoes can spread only virus and disease if kept amongst Fresh mangos.
It was a very bad nightmare.I worked here for 15 long years, during covid I fell ill, was not able to go to office, they declared me abscounding. The worst thing was they even didn't give me releiving letter.When I asked for the reason the lady HR told me that the team manager of the process told her not to give. Me inspite of beingin touch with the manager they declared me abscounding.I had told them I will be joining soon.When there was work from home going on, that manager told me there were no systems available when I requested for WFH. You know these managers here's are so bias that they will hold your promotion, give low increment inspite your very good performance. The will not like if you are appreciated by onshore clients. You just need to always give them treats, arrange free birayani for them, give them valuable gifts, keep on agreeing on whatever they say, keep on impressing them, if you do this then for sure you get promoted, will get good salary hike. The worst is there are different rules for different people. In my case I had Kidney problem and for that I was hospitalised. So I needed rest. In similar other case my collegues mother in law was hospitalised as she had some hand surgery. In this case this co worker was given 3 months leave. In my case was wasn't able to go to work for around 2 months. Here a employee was ill and in other case a co-workers mother in law was ill. In my case they removed me from job, where I had served the company for 15 yrs, and in the other case the co-worker had hadly worked or completed 5 yrs. Here what qualification you need to be promoted is you should be a girl, good looking, rest if you are a dumbo that will do. To my knowledge people here who are under graduates and used to sell have become Managers. They even can't speak proper English, they just have that chatugiri quality. People who really are post graduates, Engineers and they are never ever given a chance to excel inspite of their capability....Read More

They don't give you what you deserve. Chattugiri,is the best qualification here. You just need to be good looking and if you are a good to the sure you are given VIP treatment. Managers here are very crazy about girls working here irrespective of age difference

Work pressure isn't that much when compared with other companies. Most of the times the leaves are sanctioned by the managers.
Dislikes
1. Salary is pathetic
2. Too much of politics when it comes to promotion
3. The company brags about transparency, but fails to walk the talk most of the times
4. Most importantly the senior management are kept in dark by the mid management. I won't be surprised if someone tells me that they don't the basic reason that why the porcesses go back to the client and why WNS fails to deliver what they asked for. One of the main reason for WNS's failure is that in order to hire cheap labour they get ready to compromise with the quality..and that is the main reason why many esteemed clients are left dissatisfied with the quality of service and never come back to WNS.
Secondly, in my tenure of 13 years in the company I have seen the CEO only ones on our work floor and that too for a short span of time and most surprisingly people failed to recognize him when he entered the floor.
5. The mid managent is expert in keeping it's staff members and their supervisors in dark and MOST importantly they do not know the ABC's of the process. And they are the ones who are assigned to take one on ones during appraisals..so, you can imagine on what basis they are going to decide your ratings etc.
6. Managers don't easily allow and encourage their staff to opt for an ijp as per their liking..when the opportunity comes they expect the candidate to have a discussion with them and during that discussion it becomes their motto to demoralise the candidate.
7. STRANGE POLICY OF WNS - During internal job postings the candidates who are appearing for that post are supposed to be aware about the process. On the other hand there is an information security policy in place which says that the information of one process must not shared with the people of other processes and must be protected at all costs. No pressure.. Just logout at time, good food, cab services(free) management was awesome, especially from british airways sudhish vijayan(Sir) is very much supportive n helpful. Amit sir a good friend , a good human being and a great manager.. We love you sir.. And my bhai Rupam dey(sir) one of the best team leader in my career.
