Nothing Like. TCS is big name but internal situation is different and worst.

The management is worst and badly behaves with employee. Working in TCS (in my project) seems like we are working under and under rules of Britishers. No security and respect for females. Review for TCS, GG7.

My career had the lowest low when I had to join TCS. It was all because of an internal transition and not voluntarily at all. There is absolutely no growth at all. Like zero growth financially inspite of I working in a very challenging and competent product based company, as my client.

I dislike everything. My mental health took a toll here thinking about what my career life is turning out to be.

The days passed by 9th year completing still feels like yesterday.

Manager doesn't use your expertise, instead they ask to keep on learning new task every month, to form an backup. Dozens of dislike, no promotion, when we talk they ignores and when we stop working then they say appraisal will get bad, hence no promotion. Very poor managing company, it's for retirement old people company as newly candidates have no future.

Lately it has gone bad to worse in terms deducting associate's salaries for not going to office that too without giving them a seat or soft warning before deducting the money. Associates are losing thousands of money from their salary every month in the name of quarterly results or associates not working from office. Human Resource is a big pain. You can not get a convincing reply. They always sound like chatbot and hopefully will be the very first to be replaced by AI. Offshore people are all lazy and procrastinate. There is nobody to look upto for inspiration. There is no motivation to grow or to achive anything professionally. People here are always busy working, but still accomplish nothing.

Onsite opportunities, during my 6 year tenure at TCS 5 years I was at onsite, though it is a pure luck. Medical insurance was better but now they started diluting. My colleagues were helpful but again it depends on luck.

Dislikes

As a mechanical engineer it is not an ideal place for beginners, you will be working on simple tasks that doesn’t need any engineering or technical skills. Better look for opportunities at OEMs or tier1s at the early stage and choose TCS for a settled life.
