There is nothing to like about HCLTech. Same story of non deserving people who are driving the organisation in absolutely wrong direction. Zero increment in 3 years and forget about promotion. They make you work for more than 12 hours and ask for accountability for every minute. They have created an hourly file on teams for time entry which makes you feel that you are a slave. Very toxic culture. The team that leads DEI has people like Abhishek Mishra who do not leave any opportunity for demeaning you and passing derogatory comments. Having told to the AVP of L&D, he also passes similar comments pertaining to the damage to LGBTQ and Females. Absolutely a no no place to work....Read More
Toxic culture. No increment in 3 years. One has to prove every minute and accountabilities. Abhishek Mishra and Puneet Khatri (L&D head) use derogatory comments and cheap LANGAUGE. Make you feel slave. No work life balance. Sycophancy is celebrated over hard work.

Highly political and toxic work environment with biased bosses. No proper escalation channels for HR people - even I am in the HR, still we don’t have anywhere to go ! No work life balance. No salary hikes or fair appraisals despite hard work. Rude and very disrespectful colleagues and managers. Office politics at its peak ! No career growth or recognition. Employee well being is not a priority.

Overall work culture is good in HCL but i feel if you are under management role there is alot of politics, drama and bad experiences that you will face. I have been here for 2 years and it’s nothing what i though it would be. Additionally, the appraisal letters are released after 1.5 years for any employee here which is not fair at all

Work Culture here is good. People are friendly and suppportive, leaving few exceptions. Working hours are flexible. Hybrid working system is employee friendly.
Salary and benefits and promotion is far below the market rates. They give equal percentage to everyone irrespective of their work. Work recognition is not up to the mark. Permanent work from office may start soon.

Salary is on time but other incentives, your promotion, your bonus, your increments etc are in Arrears, You will get it for sure but always in arrears, HR is not at all effective. Just like your Job which is stable, your salary will be stable as well, please do not expect any other thing except Stability. Company culture in terms ofHR is not at all good, no major governance towards how management is calibrating an employee, how promotions are happening? That is the only reason I left HCLTech, otherwise, in other domains, might be the HR as people doing good things. HCLTech is a beautiful organization but some wrong people who are in that position to spoil the overall experience and culture, My advice is to hire good mature people in leadership positions and especially in HR domain. There is nothing to say about liking the things about HCL. In Ambitionbox, if I had the opportunity to reduce from 1 star to 0.5 star I would prefer to do that.
There are so many things thing to dislike HCL. 1) Do not go with the Brand name. You might feel that choose a brand rather than any other small companies just go to that small company rather than choosing it. 2) Forget about the hikes. Atleast you have to stay for 2 years then you can think about it(Note: Depends on the CTC. If it crossing more than 7lpa then you will not get any hikes upto 3 years.) 3) Technology is outdated. Suppose If you want to go out from HCL after working 2-3 years then you have to work really hard to coup with the trending technologies because while you are searching jobs in the market then you can realise that most of the tools are outdated. 4) If you think your life is secured after getting a job in HCL then you are wrong because HCL is silently reducing there bench strenth. Max to max 2-3 months. 5) Throughout my tenure in HCL I understood one thing if you are fresher & cannot get a job but hcl is knocking your door then grab it atleast you can get the basic pavement or if you have more than 12 years of work ex then it is good for the retirement company but 1-12 yrs of work ex do not even think about it....Read More
