At HCL Tech we i have developed my skills developed my personality and i have got the good environment of my team to support each other.

Dislikes

I was working there since from 3 years but didn't got any appraisal. So i think there is no growth in there.

Overall work culture is good in HCL but i feel if you are under management role there is alot of politics, drama and bad experiences that you will face. I have been here for 2 years and it’s nothing what i though it would be. Additionally, the appraisal letters are released after 1.5 years for any employee here which is not fair at all

Favouritism. Unskilled people deployed in HR, who are from BA, ops. And QA backgrounds. They don't even know the true meaning of HR. Just being favourites of the boss they would enjoy all benefits and neither themselves nor the boss would do any work. Too much toxic of a culture. Their HR department needs quick overhauling to turn the game.

There is nothing to like about HCLTech. Same story of non deserving people who are driving the organisation in absolutely wrong direction. Zero increment in 3 years and forget about promotion. They make you work for more than 12 hours and ask for accountability for every minute. They have created an hourly file on teams for time entry which makes you feel that you are a slave. Very toxic culture. The team that leads DEI has people like Abhishek Mishra who do not leave any opportunity for demeaning you and passing derogatory comments. Toxic culture. No increment in 3 years. One has to prove every minute and accountabilities. Abhishek Mishra and Puneet Khatri (L&D head) use derogatory comments and cheap LANGAUGE. Make you feel slave. No work life balance. Sycophancy is celebrated over hard work.

Great work life balance, this is the most important thing. You will get a lot time to live your life in your way. You will have lot of time for your personal development & skill development

Salary hike is point of worry. Please don’t expect hike. Negotiate as much as possible before your joining so that you will not have regret of being under paid but yes always remember your future salary also depends on what are you getting previously.

I liked that the work environment is not toxic. We can go for a walk in the break time to refresh the mind.

I don't like the timings of the shift here. 10hours shift + 3hrs travel time. And according to the shift time and work load salary is very less than expected.

A complete mess. The sort of experience I had along with some of my colleagues who joined on the same date was appalling. What I found out that the communication from HCLtech's end is disastrous on so many levels. Now I am not sure if it's the project which we were going to get tagged or not, but the experience was not good. Have you ever heard of an employee going to bench after joining a new company. No communication whatsoever was provided what was the reason behind it, then after 2 weeks, we were invited to train and get tagged to a new project for a different role, we were trained for 1 month on and off and after that again no communication about what is happening. After 2 months of training and anxiously waiting for the outcome, they inform I am not getting tagged because the client needs my passport and I don't have one. Never did HCLTECH ever say that Passport was mandatory. Post that I had to apply for a passport to avoid another scenario as such. Appalling experience....Read More
