HCL is having wonderful technologies and excellent people who are even working for more than 20 years. There is no bell curve followed strictly in hcl, so people in high level /middle level will have many talented technical leads/architects to handle pressure or issues always. The yearly talent exams are easier to clear.

Dislikes

For long time people ,difficult to get good hikes equal to any lateral hires. There is no salary normalization as per the band or experience. Lateral hired Software engineer might be getting 100 % more salary than his manager.

Cannot start they give promotions without a hike i got 1% for top rating my reportee whom i gave promotion and top rating got 26 rs in a year increment.This is a lala company trust me if you stay here for longer term you will not be able to fight inflation even.

In HCL Technologies I am working here since last two years, and personaly feel that the work life balance is very good. No such kind of pressure which can cause any type of mental health. Company gives lots of new learning opportunities to all employees to expose their career.

Dislikes

Only one thing is not good about the yearly incriment, I discussed with many team members, they haven't received any incriment since last three years although their ratings are excellent. That's why many employees planning to leave.

Manager feels that they are the God and expect sub ordinates to worship them otherwise they will give the Performance rating as PNP(Performance needs Improvement) without valid reasons. The default process followed in HCL is HR will force you to submit Resignation if PNP rating was given and HR is not even ready to hear your concerns. If you refuse to resign, they will threatening You by start sending the SHOW CAUSE NOTICE Email and then forcefully terminate. HCL is nice company to work with and they really take care of there employees. They have very good medical facilities and insurance plan. They have good infrastructure and work place environment.

Dislikes

They don’t pay much of the variable component even if you are performing good. They are sometimes felt like not very professional while following a defined process and practice. HR don’t even acknowledge employees queries or doubts and never give you transparency on any concerns.

Promotion is based on manager's decision only . No promotion for 8 years. Very very less hike. Once you move to bench only 3 months time will be given to find a project or else terminated by HR
