While being employed during my time at 2023 year to 2024 year it was a good experience but the learning modules set and performance to be met was set at a high level for me which was not being met. That can be found by the company records.

Dislikes

Certain people being HR's still not very prominent. Knowing the difference between certain cultures and disparity but many people i did interact with on a physical look basis and physical hand to hand friendly greeting.

If you are lucky enough to be part of the right team, you'll have good work life balance and a good team culture where you'll at least not be absolutely terrified of Mondays and drag through your week for the weekend. The leave policy was good while I was working at EYGBS. My team and team culture was devoid of toxic politics and I had the opportunity to decide what I want to do.

EY GBS job descriptions are basically shopping wish lists. Once you enter the role you'll figure nobody actually has a single skill mentioned in the JD also, the actual job is far from what the initial expectation was. The hiring process is a nightmare, salary is miniscule, almost every function has absolute chernobyl level toxicity, leaders favour their own people. Talent is colluded with head hunters for hiring and you'll get zero results on applying directly to career page. I was a part of an internal support team and had access to data and people from various functions in EY GBS. Stability, assurance, a party mood, paying in pennies, long working hours, booze, being wasted, and no upskilling. In short, it's like the life of a person who got their first job all party mood, but low salary, leading to a happy life with stability.

Dislikes

No learning and growth, have to butter the seniors, low salary, hell for introverts. But but you will really enjoy the culture here, company spends a lot here for team bonding activities

There is an Assistant Director at Gurgaon Assurance EM who always pokes, finds fault at others, blames others and creates mentral trauma for his team members whom he does not like. He carries unconscious biasness and does favor to his loved ones only. Many from his span want to quit job because of him.

Don't ever to go to team CSS in EY GDS, please ask while interviewing for EY GDS, I was hired for Power BI, and all I have done is invoicing and stakeholder management through their in house tools.

Dislikes

Its a dead kind of place, not good to choose as you will have to forget living life and become a Robot. There will be no guidance from anybody, but the work will be expected to be completed by you, maybe by magic.

EY GDS as an organisation is really great. There are multiple programs that can help one achieve satisfaction beyond work related aspects. Most often people once they are hired are given choices to move to other teams even if they are performing not so well. Skills improvement is an aspect that is definitely ingrained.

Dislikes

Depending on who one works with (Principal, Partner, Executive Director, Director) the work life balance can be okay or fully messed up. Promotions are infrequent and happen only when a person is critically important and threatens to move out. Politics is an interesting aspect that one learns in a Big 4 set-up.

1. Worst work culture. 2. Lot of partiality, they have office in Bangalore for name sake. 80% to 90% Promotions will be for Noida people. Only 10% - 20% from Bangalore. Even though candidates are worthy they still promote Noida Employees rather than promoting Bangalore Candidates. Most of the leadership sits in Noida. 3. For communication they mostly use Hindi then secondary would be English. Even it 10 or 200 members connect/forum, they still discuss in Hindi. They don’t bother that you understand or not 4. HR are also for Name sake, if you complain on any of higher management they will discuss internally with them and target that person and also HRs are very Hard to reach. 5. Micro Management 6. You will fed up with filling more than 3 timesheets every single day. 7. There are no procedures for any thing, etc.. my list will go on. But this is more than enough. Employee engagement. Their employee satisfaction reviews seems fake and manipulative, mostly. The Partner won’t let you spend the budget to your team member and it’s their tendency to put themselves in limelight that he is the sole owner of your life. Work life balance varies on team to team basis. Good at Job Security. I had seen people working more than 15+ years.

Work life balance never happens in some teams, If you are working in as per roster they will say monthly your shift rotates but for boys will be in continuous Night Shifts. Till we ask for a morning shift they won't make it that easy will mention people shortage make sure don't fall in that trap say that clearly won't be able to work in night shifts continuously. And no one thinks since you worked night shifts last month lets move him to morning this month. I had seen one if my collogues worked 6 months continuously in night shift (9PM to 6AM). I don't like the so much dirty politics of manager sitting on senior manager position. They are so pathetic never encouraged, appreciate hard working deserving employees.

I really don't like involvement of QA senior manager in year end discussion, when they don't really involve through the year any discussion with employees. They never engaged with employees just for rating discussion they are included which is really not good. I have worked with EY for approximately 5 years and felt at comfort with few managers since they were very cooperative and understanding. The company promotes culture of flexible working hours in some teams.

Dislikes

1. Undue work pressure in non busy seasons and not letting charge time 2. Huge politics during promotions and increment cycle end. 3. Mental pressure due to unrealistic deadlines. 4. Leadership misuses their power to shut down employees raising voices against malpractices. 5. EY GDS not always following global audit guidelines.

Long work hours, pays far lesser than industry standards, back end team for US (though the learning curve depends team to team), sub standard other fringe benefits, favouritism at some levels, managers put their own admin work on seniors and staffs
