Good work environment and culture. Teammates are supportive and the management is transparent.
There is a lot of politics and the management doesn't address our issues. Salary is decent but career growth is slow. There is a bond of 2 year before which you cannot resign. On the job training is not giving to new joinees.
The job is quite interesting struggle a bit in the beginning as there was no formal training session. I learnt everything on the job.

Not a lot of work pressure. Very peaceful work culture. If you are lucky, you may get a great process to work with. Salary is good too.
Very notorious for putting people on bench. I was training the employees of two clients for 3 months and had successfully improved their performance, but when the time came for me to show my work to the management, they said that both the clients were not a part of the service line. All my efforts were a waste. No recognition at all. Nothing! A month later they put me on bench because they did not have any projects for me. Once you are on bench, you are just supposed to go to office on your own money (no cab facility), and mark your attendance and do nothing. Nothing, you can just work until you don't get job anywhere.
When tire 4 and 5 companies gives good hike, meanwhile this company is soo kanjoos to give hike. Also every year they use to change the months of the hike. One year it will be April another year it will be August without arrear. Please don't go to this company.

Its completely dependent on the Manager you are reporting to, but ideally the evironment is not great. The senior managment doesn't know how to lead by example. They are trying to enfore work, they are in frenzy

There are learning and development opportunities via udemy and internal platforms but the team management doesn't provide time to utilise the same.
This openion limited to Staff Augmentation vertical - 10 hrs work culture takes 12 hrs to satisfy the unrealistic expectations and poorly managed processes. Too many unfair and biased approach by almost all TLs TMs and SDMs. If you are an outsider for positions beyond SPE you wouldn't be welcomed and treated well, tenured and competitors in the org will sabotage your growth.

Most of the senior mgmt in cognizant are old , stubborn, egoistic and obnoxious people . They refused to work in teams, they refused to work at par with young associates and they have a very capitalistic mentality - they won't read mails and ask for updated on weekends ! The tools used in CTS are outdated and buggy making the work very very slow

-Its a big organization and there are bureaucracy. But still the process are smooth (Yes, there are delays here & there which is expected) - You have the flexibility to work from any cognizant location you desire (Depends upon some project too) - I personally didn't have any problems availing leaves, which is one of the few things I really appreciate.

As working here is quite good when your manager is cooperative. Though In previous two years work and manager both was good no complaints for them and i worked from home till now and everyone was cool.
Now during current project my so called manager is psycho. Here in cognizant manager also do coding but he is like only I have to do everything and he just wants credit for it. Even to other squads he is like only he is doing work. He oftenly insulted me and two other team mates. I talked with my home manager but no benefit. Only you have to suffer in that scenario.
