Poor project planning makes employees work for more than 12 hrs a day. Managers don’t understand the issues employees are facing they simply push people to work more hours.

Internal politics are more in management Don't listen to member concerns If member does not adhere to their words, they will screw the member. Promotions and appraisal are given to their own favourite people No onsite positions even though you have been with comany for couple of decades

Top level manangment behave like cheaters .I worked total 6 years .Last year I got an offer of 28 LPA ,I put down my papaers ,later CGI agreed to offer 26L .So withdeawn my papers .After withdrawn they made it 22.65 L and they told market situvation is not good.The heigher manangment grown by eating others compensations

You won't feel like working for an IT company rather you will feel like you are working for a Marketing company. Always there will be pressure to complete the things, they won't consider the work life balance, 12 hours a day you need to work 365days in a year. Most of the people working in CGI are 10+years in same company so they don't respect you, they don't have any work culture. You words will not be heard, whatever they say you have to listen and complete the work at any cost....Read More

Indian leadership is only restricted to south and local karnatak people dominate too much. Too much politics as all wants to fool global managment and do all favoritism

Work life balance is good along with good job security too unless you are on bench for too long period. Most people behave respectfully in the organization

They have CGI academia for upskilling however no opportunity to get into new projects as no manager entertains or contacts them when they are on bench. Also salary increment was max 3% last year, well below industry standards.

Depends upon project and business unit. For me , here in DataCycle360 and Wealth360, work is excellent means, you will get more and more work if you are able to do quickly so, learning opportunity is excellent, technologies is also decent as per industry, but if i think independently and don't compare with other company then carriers growth (salary) in terms of appraisal is not good.

Appraisal, salary growth within CGI, Hybrid mode of working, WFO, In terms of quality and quantities work delivered - More work is there based on current 9LPA CTC of promoted SSE atleast for me, by comparing with external hired SSE which takes 19LPA. So, Switching to other company is good rather than getting Promoted within CGI.

Definately a great place to work if you are less ambitious about financial growth. Almost zero micro management. Perfect place for experienced people to get settled or for longer run.

Dislikes

Not at all recommended for freshers. Very less salary hike and confusing apraisal cycle. Unnecessary hierarchy and complex organisation structure. Full off useless managers only drawing huge amount of salary just by talking in calls 2-3 hours everyday. IJP & internal trainings are all showoff. No use at all.
