- Not good for Entry to senior leadership roles and Architects especially if you are someone passionate on latest technologies, they don't have innovation/very tiny , so almost NO scope for sandboxes. therefore don't expect use of latest technologies unless you are exceptionally placed into some special teams. - This is an organization with very low scope internal movements. - Extreme legacy, Most of the leaders are in-house grown , have been there since decades / have rejoined, i have noticed them too low on accepting new things , there were cases where staff members were referred by senior leaders and PM had to just take them. - Operating model ; Onshore so called Prime BU and Offshore model. Don't be surprised if you end up working with internal people only without facing client. - Members Surveys (MSAP) : This is just crazy they have something called member satisfaction assessment program , which is a survey by all employees against their management, which is again crazy i have noticed many mangers(including Managers, directors and above) calling their immediate associates and asking their subordinates to "rate them well" as soon as survey is launched. Not sure what is the purpose of MSAP if this is case ? - Org hierarchy : They have 2 streams of hierarchy beginning entry level to senior leadership teams. one stream is delivery another stream is experts: Delivery stream is responsible to executing delivery related activities , expert is technical , in my exp almost none of delivery stream people knows most fundas, they don't even understand the Job description. Most of the technical directors and VP's and managers " prefers to work in isolation" . The "next" level managers most of the times are only supportive to their immediate reporting manager. - This is the only company i have seen where one of the member was awarded for highest learning hours and whilst on bench and this was considered as one of the point to deploy them into a project and the person is someone who was referred by one of the VP , on the ground most of team members had concerns it seems. - No proper engagements in Centre of Excellence teams - Delivery tech staff : This is no different than most of the IT MNC's where majority of the freshers are deployed to handle projects without adequate training. For a question one of the senior manager asked the response from senior leader was "respective reporting manager should sit along with freshers on the project and train them " and that never happens. - Insurance : Not up to mark - Governance: Better systems and automation is still possible....Read More

Work life balance is good along with good job security too unless you are on bench for too long period. Most people behave respectfully in the organization
They have CGI academia for upskilling however no opportunity to get into new projects as no manager entertains or contacts them when they are on bench. Also salary increment was max 3% last year, well below industry standards.

Depends upon project and business unit. For me , here in DataCycle360 and Wealth360, work is excellent means, you will get more and more work if you are able to do quickly so, learning opportunity is excellent, technologies is also decent as per industry, but if i think independently and don't compare with other company then carriers growth (salary) in terms of appraisal is not good.
Appraisal, salary growth within CGI, Hybrid mode of working, WFO, In terms of quality and quantities work delivered - More work is there based on current 9LPA CTC of promoted SSE atleast for me, by comparing with external hired SSE which takes 19LPA. So, Switching to other company is good rather than getting Promoted within CGI.

Definately a great place to work if you are less ambitious about financial growth. Almost zero micro management. Perfect place for experienced people to get settled or for longer run.
Not at all recommended for freshers. Very less salary hike and confusing apraisal cycle. Unnecessary hierarchy and complex organisation structure. Full off useless managers only drawing huge amount of salary just by talking in calls 2-3 hours everyday. IJP & internal trainings are all showoff. No use at all.
