I received a call regarding a job opportunity. The caller initially inquired about my experience, but when asked about my current salary, I explained that I am a freelancer and my earnings vary depending on the project. Instead of acknowledging my response, she insisted on a fixed number, disregarding how freelancing works.

When I clarified that my income is project-based and cannot be defined as a fixed salary, she persisted in forcing a specific answer. When I stood my ground, she started laughing and abruptly hung up. This kind of behavior is highly unprofessional and disrespectful. If this is how candidates are treated, I can only imagine how the actual work environment might be.

I do not recommend engaging with such unprofessional recruiters. A professional hiring process should be respectful and considerate of different work models, including freelancing.

I had given 4 5 rounds after managing for laptop by going 150 kms and in the manager round they asked to work as a different role in which I didn't have any experience so they had rejected me.
