Seeking advice on current job

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?

Work-Life Imbalance : Employees are expected to be available 24/7, 365 days a year, with no consideration for personal time. 3. No Appraisals: There are no performance-based appraisals or salary increments, leading to stagnation and low morale. 4. Unrealistic Expectations : The workload is heavy, with deadlines that are often impossible to meet. 5. Poor HR Policies : The HR Policies are poorly structured and fail to prioritize employee well being. 6. Unprofessional Management : Senior staff can be rude, and managers are often promoted with just two years of experience, resulting in inadequate leadership. 7. Insider Culture : The company seems to be run by a close-knit group of friends, limiting diversity and fresh perspectives. 8. Inconsistent Office Attendance : Managers hardly show up at the office, sometimes only once a month, yet they expect freshers and new joiners to attend daily, creating a double standard that affects team morale. 9. Unfair Working Hours : The senior HR staff often arrives at 11 AM and leaves by 3 PM, but they still expect every employee to arrive before 10 AM and not leave before 8 PM, with an expectation to continue working from home afterward. This disparity creates a toxic work environment and further deteriorates employee satisfaction. 10. Layoffs Are Frequent : Layoffs seem to be a trend at this company, with at least 1-2 employees being fired every month or two. 11. Excessive Manual Work : Manual work is prevalent, and everyone, from developers to QA, is expected to perform the same tasks, which significantly hampers learning and professional growth.
