Notice period, early join

My current company notice period is two months 23-Dec-2024 to 20-feb-2024. But my new employer asking for early join ie 3rd of feb! I requested for early relieve to My current employer. Verbally they agreed to relieve two weeks early but now they not ready to relieve early. They want me to complete two months notice period. My new employer asking to join early! What can I do? Compensation is very low for people staying within the organization for long time. For new entrants please negotiate on a higher range otherwise there will be huge disparity ~20-30% in compensation within the same team and same level of employees. Those who are most visible (to senior management) are the most paid.
