Lot of long timers in manager role who are egoistic and insecure which leads to thier bullying behaviour. Architect role is a joke, it is a alternative term for senior developers, tech lead and dev/team lead. It is a dead end you won't grow apart from change in titles and end up reporting to 10 to 12 years juniors who treat you worst.
