They are too flexible in terms of work, productivity matters here. No strict work from office which is great by the way.

There won't be any promotion and hike and if an employee work with 200 %dedication ,their won't be any hike at all.I mean how employee will be motivated for the next year and finally they will leave the company.If you need any HR support or IT support,there is no helpdesk number.You have to depend on chat bot which are worst.They neva give proper reply which you really want from them.

IBM is very good company and will have work life balance ( and its also depands on project). Appraisals are also good (which is depends on your peoples manager). But my suggestion is go with good package yo ibm.

IBM is good at work-life balance after working more than 7 years in IBM one thing I can say one will find very rare work place where people will not say anything once job is done , if any one can do their job none will tell anything.

Dislikes

Promotion and appraisal process , one should get judged by his/her work not the relationship having between manager and reportee, relationship has to be good with all but it should not be the only criteria for getting promotion and appraisal. It was really tough for me to leave IBM as it's my dream company since college time I left IBM because of manager.

We can learn many things in that company as they have given free access for all learning platform. It totally depends on you how u utilise it.

I don’t have idea about other projects inside the company, but the project which I was working was a low budget project then too those managers were not living that project and it was a worst project , as I am a fresher it was not good to start Carrer like that.

I am working in IBM Security. IBM got really good work-life balance. The work hours are flexible, no one will pressurize you into doing things.

Dislikes

The hikes are not that great. Even switching projects is a very difficult. If you are a graduate hire then you must atleast work for 18 months in the initial project, no matter you are interested or not.

I all comes down to what project you are working on. If you are a part of ISDL, yes the pay is good compared to to GBS but the skills which you develop or use in ISDL are very platform specific and little use if outside of IBM.

Before you join IBM please make sure you are assigned to the right project. if not assigned to the project they will lay off

Everything. No guidance. No one will assist for if you have any doubts. Please don't join if you are not assigned bto the project. These people simply schedule client interviews. When you fail to answer one or two questions, they give negative feedback. They use these negative feedback to terminate you. Please be sure that you are assigned to the project before you join IBM

Micro management from IBM senior manager for sbi client at belapur, no IT culture by IBM management. False commitment to client without prior technical feasibility and hence pressure on ground level resources. Mandatory weekend working, if you refuse they will threaten you.

Small term and very outdated projects. In interview even in client interview also they will ask questions like NASA but at ground level you will get work like a fresher. If you are an experienced person your all knowledge will get rusted here. And if by any chance you want to change the project. You need to face very bad politics.
