Hey, curious to hear from those already at IBM – what’s Band Level 7A like? I just got this level with about 4 years and 5 months of experience and will be joining as a Senior Data Engineer. What’s the career trajectory like at this stage? How’s the work-life balance, and what kind of growth can I expect within IBM? Also, what kind of expectations should I be prepared for in this role? Is it good to join IBM at 7A band for Sr. Data Engineer position at 21.5 fixed + 1.3 JB. YOE : 5.5 Are there chances of layoff or firing for me ? Is it good offer to join for 5.5 yoe ?

I have sent my counter offer letter and early release mail from current employer to IBM HR on Monday after talking to him regarding the same and asking to match the offer and giving early joining as 11th February'25 as 10th February is my LWD in current employer earlier it was 90 days dated 6th March'25. Haven't heard anything yet from IBM yet, will they get back or revoke the offer ? YOE : 5.4 Years Current Fixed : 15.63 lpa , IBM Offer : 20 lpa , Counter Offer : 24 lpa Fixed

IBM COUNTER OFFER NEGOTIATION

How much max does IBM GBS pays for lateral hires of 7A band. Selected as senior data engineer for Barclays project. YOE : 5.5 , CCTC : 15.65 lpa fixed First they offered 20 lpa fixed due to 90 days NP, but now I am getting released 1 month earlier and holding offer of 24 lpa fixed from Aditya Birla Capital. Will they match the offer if I negotiate as I can join them in 10 days.

How much can IBM offer for 5.5 yoe. Senior Data Engineer - 7A band. They have offered me 20 Ipa as my first offer with doj as 7th March. But I am getting early release from current company on 10th February 2025. Also I have offer of 24 fixed from another organisation. Just wanted to know will IBM match the offer and give joining bonus as I am joining them early 30 days. I was interviewed for Barclays project. EY - Current Fixed : 15.65 Ipa

For 7b band YOE 8 AZURE data engineer tech stack, mentioned in the @ibm offer letter we have to get allocated in the project by 30 days. How strict is this ? And how much assistantence we get to onboard in the project.
