Depends upon the team you are working with, generally a nice company with very convenient workspace and culture . No strict timings ,Salary is Good 👍🏻

Dislikes

Medical insurance and other benefits are average. No cab facility for us . Most of team members reporting that they have less work life balance and additional working hours.

From past few years, They are blindly maintaining only attendance, without thinking its impact. Anyone is coming on any day. There is no team bonding as no one following the same day or atleast they should have 5 days compulsory in every month for one team, which will make them to know who all are there in the team. 1. No monitoring on people instead allowing them to complete their work peacefully (but, few cases depending on project) 2. 1. One and only thing is there is no project assignment system or workforce management system to assign projects based on your skills. Exception: if we have good skills and if we know how to look next assignment, there could be possibility to avoid above concern. Otherwise IBM always good choice.

Job security - there are so many projects. If you are on bench then don't worry if you have skills.

There is nothing like annual/yearly appraisal. You can be on same package for 4 years no matter how hard you work. They will only point out for "out of the box like independently developed some AI toll or equivalent to it" thing and at this point you will loose the battle. If you are okay to get yearly 1-2% hike on overall package then only you should join

They are too flexible in terms of work, productivity matters here. No strict work from office which is great by the way.

The promotion cycle looks terrible and of course, it is a service-based company, so can't expect a huge salary hikes.

There won't be any promotion and hike and if an employee work with 200 %dedication ,their won't be any hike at all.I mean how employee will be motivated for the next year and finally they will leave the company.If you need any HR support or IT support,there is no helpdesk number.You have to depend on chat bot which are worst.They neva give proper reply which you really want from them.

Initially I was placed in banglore but it seems northees will never fit there.. people use to talk in their native language. Upon asking what was being discussed nothing was answered. Shifted to gurgaon via internal movement.. here the manager's behaviour is like a pampered kid. If he doesn't get what is required he will start misbehaving with the team. Overall a pathetic experience

IBM is very good company and will have work life balance ( and its also depands on project). Appraisals are also good (which is depends on your peoples manager). But my suggestion is go with good package yo ibm.

Internal movement between teams is almost always a fight. Often people are made to work in mixed bag of tasks/technologies, that might make one a jack of all trades and makes specialisation in one/some skillset go away.

Company is filled with people born and brought at the same organization, with zero respect for anyone else. Most of them are like self proclaimed heroes and have a bad attitude. Pro tip. Most of the people can be categorized under the header "topper's syndrome", if you google the symptoms of the disease
