Flexibility in office hours results in odd timming for employees who have family responsibilities, and by and large is at the hands of your reporting manager. 75% of the large accounts and associated project work is US and UK based, consequently employee end up working at odd hours, thereby taking dents at work life balance. Only work culture is good but that will put you in their comfort zone and you will never progress professionally.
People manager and HR are totally waste and they are never interested in your career path. You need to fight with everyone in IBM for your band progression. HR puts gun on People Manager and fires the employee. Your band progression in IBM is your worry and not your manager's worry.

There won't be any promotion and hike and if an employee work with 200 %dedication ,their won't be any hike at all.I mean how employee will be motivated for the next year and finally they will leave the company.If you need any HR support or IT support,there is no helpdesk number.You have to depend on chat bot which are worst.They neva give proper reply which you really want from them.

Salary hike and promotions are big concerns here. Managers always brings your PMR ratio and will say that you are not eligible for hike. There is no HR interaction and everything should through PM. If your PMR is greater than 1, you'll never get a hike in your lifetime. So join the company with high package and never expect any hikes further.

I had a really good time working in IBM. I was lucky enough to get a chance to change my skillset and jump into Generative AI which is the on-going most wanted skillset and worked on really good projects. The mentors and senior management is really good to help you discover new opportunities.
The only dislike is they don't give good hikes
