I got opportunity to restart my job after a break.

Client is God, even if client is doing things unethically it cannot be highlighted. Some of my colleagues were badly abused and exploited, when they complaint, they were released from project without taking any actions. HCL fill seats of projects with family or friends of client which results in bad culture and dirty politics withinproject. Here people work for their own survival not for learning or innovation. HRs in HCL never respond or rudely respond to queries raised which further demotivate the zeal of a person working at HCL. Appraisal cycles are always delayed and postponed. There is too much of nano management from all sides. Even if we sneeze entire world will know, before you can give explanation. Everyone wants to know about everything and anything that you are doing in office.my manager is based out of India and he wants to know what is happening in Blr everyday and every minute.

Work culture was Good as long as Client remains Happy. Support to Employees during Covid phase was truely amazing. OPD policy was one of the best I ever seen in my life.

Dislikes

No promotions, no proper Increment and no extra ordinary learning growth. That may vary project to project. WFH policy keeps on extending every 3 months so that fear always remained when HCL will ask suddenly to report back to office.

No promotions,, no appraisals, variable pay deductions, onsite opportunity for selected people only, no allowances, policies are not employee friendly. CEO got 190% hike and employee got 0 percent hike, while he got 9.3 overall rating.

Everyone works for the sake, what we here about HCL is really a fake news, actual bench policy is 90days, but HR will force fully collect resignation in 15days.
