Many things:
1. Insurance cycle is 1 November to 31st October. I joined in the second week of October before 10th in 2023. I was without insurance for one month. In November, in the second week I have closed enrolment and still I have been told that after 45 days you will get insurance e-card. Pathetic service. Not medibuddy which offers great service. Here it is some M.D. india tpa.
Only employee gets free enrolment which is of course part of ctc. Insurance cover of 6 lakh at my level i.e., fj 11. There is per person enrolment here. I had to enroll my wife, my two kids separately. Per person enrolment charge 3900 in current insurance year 23-24, earlier it was 2400 in 22-23. A jump of whopping 60% in premium.
2. Reimbursement is pathetic.
I shifted from City A to City B, both more than 1000 KMs apart. I am eligible for 30k reimbursement at my job level 11. Reimbursement was agreed by recruiter at the time of interview. Recruiter did a lot of follow up internally and hotel was booked by organization itself for 2 weeks amounting to 31K.
After availing accommodation when the time came for going through reimbursement process, I was clueless where to ask whom to follow up with. No defined process in place, literally.
I asked hrbp, hrbp told to get in touch with recruiter as he had agreed. I reached to recruiter he told to create expense under billable project code as hiring was project based and from day 1 you are on the same project. I created expense request under billable project code for which I was entering timesheet.
To my surprise i was able to create expense from 16th October - 24th October as official mapping of project code had happened on 16th October. I had availed hotel from 11th October - 24th October. Reimbursement request went to group manager for approval. I did a lot of follow up for one week without any answer. I followed up on teams, called on phone without any answer, put mail but useless. Finally I told him on teams mentioning that this behavior is ruining my ecstasy of joining this org. and I am not at all happy. Then, he tells that you have created wrong request, it will not go to billable project, instead it will go to non-billable wbs code.
Then as he told I wrote a mail to his manager for approval, she approved. Then I tagged another person for wbs code mapping. She now told to get approval from RBU head. I put mail to RBU head, got approval exactly after 8 days after so many follow ups on teams and mails. Finally wbs code was mapped and I was able to create reimbursement request. The reimbursement request again went to RBU head and I am again waiting from 4 days for approval, reminding daily on teams and mail.
This is actually pathetic, filthy process. I feel it is worst experience when you follow up with someone for your own money explaining reason even then you are unsure when you will get approval and the money finally. I am into this whole process from 24 days now at the time of writing this.
