Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..

Some seniors here are very kind and friendly, and they provide excellent guidance.

Dislikes

There is no fixed working schedule in this office. Although they claim that employees are required to complete 9 hours, the reality is quite different. We often end up working 10-12 hours or even more, followed by additional tasks from home after office hours. Moreover, we are expected to work on weekends as well, adding to the excessive workload. The work environment here is highly toxic, mentally draining, and exploitative, making it extremely difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance....Read More
