Promotion and IJP happens how much you are able to butterify your seniors. You capability, skillset and commitment to job is not important. There is no specific criteria. The better you blabber the more visibility. Technology, automation, AI are just buzz words not actually Pathetic place!

Dislikes

No flexibility in terms of number of hours, number of days you are required to be in office. Soon Bank will ask to pay for coffee from vending machines due to cost cutting. Pathetic transport system, bathrooom stinks, no hygiene, water dispensers would be 'under maintenance ' for months. No team lunch, no team party, no support for doing professional certification (though there is a policy for it), but enormous money is spent for futile things clearly visible. Working here is more of a chance game. There are multiple tracking system for your time, unnecessary meeting to join just because your manager wants you to join, deadline pushing ahead by not in months, but by years. I remember when I joined DB and a migration project was decided to be completed on 4 months. But it's 2 years past since that date, and project is still going on. We are not rewarded for the work we have completed, but for the checklists of managers we've completed we are rewarded for that. Diversity, Equality & Inclusivity is just a brand image because my manager communicate the secrets to my fellow colleague just because she is from the same state of India from where my manager is. Too much micromanagement, even talking on phone call was poked to me (that call was just 5 minutes long without affecting any meeting or my BAUs). This is was what I love!...Read More

-Less opportunity for engineers to grow….tester, developers, engineers are overlooked…..if you have to grow you should be scrum master, product owner, agile practitioner, BA…. But not an engineer

Terrible work colleagues you find in Deutsche Bank, people neihht greet at the begining of the day! Have very bad work ethics, always busy in back biting and pulling others down, in Pune they conduct meetings in Marathi and Hindi, better they do not speak in English or one who knows shall forget!!
