If you're considering a career move to Barclays, India, it's wise to pause and ponder. The corporate winds are shifting, and not in favor of a gentle breeze. Management, in their quest to pinch pennies, seems to be playing a game of 'how low can you go' with salaries. The HR department, once the custodians of employee welfare, are now crafting policies that might make Kafka smile—if he worked in corporate. Take, for instance, the grand unveiling of the new car lease policy, with Orix riding shotgun. The previous policy was a financial joyride for employees, but alas, it's been driven off the cliff. In its place, a new scheme that seems to have taken a detour from employee benefits. The halls of Barclays have been echoing with the sound of empty desks following the mass layoff fiesta in December. 23. Word on the grapevine is that another round of 'corporate musical chairs' is on the horizon, possibly in the sultry heat of July 2024. The hiring freeze has left managers skating on thin ice, trying to perform a balancing act with the headcount of a skeleton crew. I work in Barclays LTS office, Pune. GTIS in Barclays is the worst department to work with. I would suggest better to work with other departments rather than working in GTIS. Appraisal and promotions are very less as compared to other departments. During Diwali and Christmas as well management of GTIS gives nothing to it's employeesnor sweets nor gifts. During year end review management has only one reason that company is in loss so less increment this year but people working in management get good humesha. Every year we got to know the same reason from the management. Very less bonus is given , in that too half of the bonus is deducted in Tax 🥺 Barclays GTIS is doing much of the cost cutting. Office politics and feviritism is also the other problem here. They give less respect for the people working for more than 10 years. They get very less increment as compared to the one who are newly hired. I have been working in Barclays for more than 10 years still my monthly in-hand salary is less than 1 lac which is so much disappointing to me. Barclays values are just followed on paper and not in practical....Read More

Favouritism is too much and managers are just good at your face When it comes to actually help you they will step back if it is not of their benefit.
