Salary is too low, only ceo earns good money, exploiting freshers and playing with their careers. They don't have many projects, so most of the time people will be on bench. Promotions are delayed/cancelled based on their convenience citing reasons like utilization is less (common sense- it is less because the company has less projects). Promotions criteria are increased if you satisfy previous required criteria. Hikes are less than peanuts. Company culture is bad, no festival celebration nothing. The culture was very bad, there was no work-life balance. The management was not supportive and tremendous rude with employees - Often calling on weekends and nightshifts. Managers used to glorify over work. The environment was like a dungeon. There is no growth for career except those who use to butter managers.

Work life balance is good. Job satisfaction is also fair. Company pays fair enough. I am not satisfied or I should say I am not impressed with the appraisal procedure implemented by the management. Post 1 year no appraisal at all or the performance bonus. They have their own way of doing it in the month of July or August and it doesn’t matter when you have completed 1 year.

I believe working in a company is totally depends on the project team with whom we are working. As per my team experience I don't have any issues with the people and the culture of the company. Overall cognizant has a very good environment to work with. But I should say it also purely depends on the team which we have put into. The salary is higher for freshers and lateral compared to other companies.
We cannot expect good ratings and promotion even if we deserve it. As they ask you to work 10 hrs continuously, you will not have time to develop your skills.
