1. Salary and hikes are low. 2. Poor employee welfare activities, once a year they take you out for team lunch. If you missed then nothing, no gifts, abs nothing, saving so much money but gives back nothing.

Here HR’s don’t even listen to our problems. When we need help from HR’s they don’t even respond to our messages or mail but when they need something from us they directly call us. Here, TMP team will say you will get project but when our bench time ends they force us to take up service desk projects by lying you can change projectafter 6 months. I work in software testing as an automation plus manual tester. Nowadays there are many manual testers don't have opportunities in projects because projects are looking for those candidates who works in both! And what cognizant is doing that they show the client that candidate has experienced in both auto and manual and share fake profile with them. They just take normal interviews and select us. But once you get the projects, you will have lot of work which you never did earlier. And continuous work pressure will be there. Due to this there is no work life balance at all. We need to available with clients timings. I would request you my friends that if you don't know some things or not aware about any technology then just say no to the interview. Overall typical service based company, with lower appraisal %, ideal to stay for 3 years max, else growth would be stopped compared to market and you will be in comfort zone.

Appraisal cycle is worst, they do rating in Dec month and release in Jan, but appraisal will be in impact from June salary. Promotion is a problem here, and you will have to cry every year. It takes minimum 3 years once u r at one level to expect promotion.

Overall it was good to work with cognizant , up and downs were there but during my bench period I learned too many technologies that help me to grow in personal and professional growth thankful that cognizant have free Udemy access however each and everyone can learn the new technologies.
