It all depends on your manager. I had 5 managers till now, 3 were too good but the other 2 were just terrible. Even I had to request change of project because of those managers. Compensation wise if your are in operations it is good, however if you are in any support teams like the audit team, you will be debarred from all the allowances saying that you are a non billable resource. Even if you move from operations to support team, this happens. My 1 lac 56 thousand salary got decreased on annual basis and they said you will not be getting it as you are now non billable. Even they change salary components also which I was getting for first 3.5 years here. The appraisals are also very minimal if you are in support team. Considering all these, I have decided not to continue here and move for better compensation at least what I deserve....Read More

As working here is quite good when your manager is cooperative. Though In previous two years work and manager both was good no complaints for them and i worked from home till now and everyone was cool.
Now during current project my so called manager is psycho. Here in cognizant manager also do coding but he is like only I have to do everything and he just wants credit for it. Even to other squads he is like only he is doing work. He oftenly insulted me and two other team mates. I talked with my home manager but no benefit. Only you have to suffer in that scenario.

What I like most about cognizant is their toxic work culture and politics. To be honest, if there were jobs offers I wud have left cognizant, unfortunately my career is losing grip because of Emi's and rent pay. They just only pay you 20k for 4 years, no promotions, no awards, no recognition and no growth. And they ( Home Managers) fake all their policies and they humiliate people in front of all the teammates and colleagues, likewise in front of 40-50 group ppls if there is work done 80/100 % and if we ask about wholesome variables pay and incentives, they forced you to go to cognizant portal and give resignation.
