Cognizant as an organization was awesome to work for until Francisco D’Souza was running this organization as CEO. The entire team use to work as OneCognizant team atleast to meet customer requirement.

The new CEO Brian Humphries came in and ruined the entire Cognizant culture. Until I left Cognizant in Oct-2022, I would rate it as very racist and anti-Asian culture inside Cognizant; especially the Onshore Healthcare Delivery team. More than an associate’s skills and capabilities; what matters is how well an associate is perceived and favored by his supervisor for a promotion and salary-raise. I am quoting a true incident “If you are favored, then all policies will be signed-off as exception and the supervisor will give promotion and salary increment in as less as 9-months of joining or from your prior promotion date.”...Read More

People at Director Level and above have created their own Kingdom in the Organization. Without their blessings People at the middle level can't grow. Appraisal is farce. Managers are asked to give lowest rating to 5%, Average Rating to 20%, Good Rating to 60% And Better Ratings to 15%. So even if one gas Met Productivity, Quality and Other Goals but in the same team Other Associates have achieved more than he/she is bound to get Lowest Rating inspire of achieving all goals. Through Trutime App Asdociates' timings are tracked. One has to spend 9 hrs in office even if the day's target achieved before that. Promotions, Better Salary hikes are decided by Closeness to your Manager No Security of Job. If a project ends then the Onus is on Associates of that project to find appropriate position in some other Project. Although there is a WFM team to help the associates in such scenario but they will just share few mails and conduct some meetings, beyond that associate has to find the new position on their own. But Cognizant is a good place for Sycophants. If one has blessings of some Manager then he/she can get good hikes, time bound promotions, can easily move from one project to another...Read More
