No promotion for more than 2 yrs, manager citing dumb reasons like he got low rating so take yours low as well. Asked to invent new things, create issue and solve them to show as achivement. Repeatative copy paste job, manager is dumb, higher management don't care anything abt employee.

There is a lack of work-life balance, a poor work culture, and ineffective leadership management. While some managers are supportive, others practice excessive micromanagement. Leave approvals are rarely granted, and the work environment is highly demanding. Being on the bench puts you in the red zone, whereas being in a project offers job security.

Never ever join cognizant those who have had technical skills, dreams to thrive in career also have family responsibilities as Cognizant job security is Zero. Projects are surrendered and handled by incapable management. Anytime one can be off boarded from project even though performing well.

The most I disliked is the annual hikes which is just peanuts. They have given 3-5% hikes to all the employees ( 5% was the maximum hike given to the top performers, rest all got 3-4%. Management forced us to work on weekends from office which could have been easily managed from home as no one comes on weekends and feels like I am in graveyard, and the entire bay remains empty.

As a technical support analyst, your leaves depend on the team. I worked on 3 different teams 1. Large team you have to preplan the leaves minimum 15 days before the start of each month, so it is hard to get leaves for festivals 2. Good manager always approved leaves 3. Can't even imagine to take leave tightly packed roster. Work life balance is good because I was in work from home most of the time. The best part of cognizant is skill development - Free Udemy subscription, Free vouchers for Microsoft, Google, AWS certifications. Job security depends on situations. Few of my friends were in bench for more than 6 months, happily receiving salary without joining any project. While one of my friend was dismissed from cognizant because of not reporting to office during bench time. It all depends on the lead., my last project lead is a good man but a bad lead, he is new to cognizant as well. the unwanted politics amongst seniors to bully their juniors, i was kind of harassed by newly appoiinted manager. Supercedness by seniors; ignoring the situations, dedicatedly commiting on everything to the client requirement without consulting with team members who actually knows what the scenario and work is.
