Capgemini is a good company to work. Has good company policies and job security.

Capgemini is good company to work but compensation appraisal is very low. Promotion policy does not seems to applicable for C1 resources working for 4-5 years on same band without any promotion and appropriate appraisal. Capgemini does not have free transportation facilities for their employees like other IT companies. Some times senior management policies are very weird like employees can claim either ON Call or Shift allowance when they are working in shifts additional doing on call off working hours. Employees should get the benefits for the hard work they put in. But senior management seems to overlook this. Onsite opportunity for DBA are narrow. Work life balance is not as expected because they have on call support off working hours and weekends Expectation is 100 percent from employee with very less allowance and benefits. Even if on call resource works for complete weekend without compoff

Double role culture takes away all the peice of mind. Management only thinks of making their work easy by making you slog . If you raise any challenges, it will come to you with double work, no resolution and more work.

In Capgemini, everything depends on in which project you land. If your project has good technology on which you can get better Hands-on. You are sorted.

Dislikes

Work life balance is poor. Appraisals are nearly 0.8-1%. which is very poor. Management is very poor. People don't even understand how to run the team. Only single sided transport is provided.
