When your name get a suffix of "Amazonian" its a proud feeling which can't be expressed in words to be honest. All I liked here was the benefits I gained during pandemic where one of the company where I was placed postponed my date of joining. At Amazon I never though that Customer Service would be a department where you will learn anything special. But the truth is working here with the professionals in your team, you gotta learn proper way of communication, how to speak to a customer, customer understanding, customer problem analysis, solution dugout, Gemba principles, teamworking and much more. The corporate culture at Amazon is amazing. You don't have bosses there sitting on desk and ordering you, rather they will be so polite and friendly who will work exceptionally well to help you grow and excel. Apart from this I was paid very well and the salary was always credited without any delay even during pandemic. Also there were so many great initiatives and programs taking place virtually, winning some of the programmes you would be awarded with Amazon Giftcard. The management team is great here. One important thing about job security is, I received an offer for full time contract role of 6 months and it wasnt extended due to business requirements. There are several departments in Customer Service at Amazon, once you are done with 6months experience, you can again sit for assessment (if there are any vacancy) and then maybe you are alloted to new role. Job was completely based on contract basis. There are very less chances for gaining technical skill if you work in customer service department but you still can gain a lot of skills if you work in technical departments. Very strict working hours. During my tenure at Amazon due to pandemic I had to work from home so there are not many things I didn't like about working here.
