Training and Tech-M infrastructure are the only 2 good things about the company.

They know exactly how to ruin your career. They hire people for the role of Development and place them in Support projects. They will first make you sign project papers saying it will be a development project and assign you to a Support project. Once you are into a project you can't change the project before completing 18 months as per their rules. And once you are into support project they will make you work round the clock in rotational shifts. I used to work 3 shifts a week morning, afternoon and night. Once I asked them to give me a shift where I can work one shift a week but my manager denied to it. I wrote to HR complaining about the issue as suggested by one of my friend, which later I realised, one of the biggest mistake of my TechM life, as she(HR) silently forwarded that mail to my Manager. Life became much more difficult after that. They have many rules regarding work culture but none applies when it comes to rights of a junior associate. Finally when I went back to my Manager for project change after completing 18 months as per company rules, He simply denied to my request stating there is a resource crunch in the project so can't release you. This time I decided to take this issue to IBU head along with HR as this time I was very much right as per their rule book. But again nothing worked ,they asked me to work for another 6 months in the same project and you can change after that if your manager agrees to do that. This made me realise I was nothing more than a paid slave in this big corporate. I then decided to change my life , I interacted with senior colleagues in the firm to know whether they are happy after giving their 10-15 years to the company . Some said that you need to spend another couple of years after that you will be get used to company culture. While some said change your life when you have time which is much better than repenting later. I realised I wanted to work but not just to make a living.
