Job security is very high and stable. Onsite oppertunities are also high. If you are looking to settle down irrespective of compensation and benefits, TCS is right company. Work life balance is so good.

Dislikes

I have 6 years of experience and my CTC is 4.8 lakh which is just more than begginer. Amount of hikes are very low and promotions are mainly project based. For who seek good salary increase annually, TCS might be disappointing.

The overall experience is good, but need to get more exposure if are in a big team otherwise your notable works are not even considered on appraisals/promotions.

Dislikes

Appraisal is not prior based on performance alone. Also not a good company if you are joining as a fresher, I would suggest if you are joining after 2-3 companies.

Peers are helpful as all are suffering from one thing underpaid and flexible time, clean campus.

Dislikes

Management is worse. Theur managers are that much skilled they put you in testing team if you are a developer. I heard if you get D band then your CTC will be reduced with some percentage. RMG is pathetic, thier only intention is to insult people and forced people to make them resign

While I’ve gained valuable experience and growth opportunities at TCS, there are certain aspects that I feel could be improved. One challenge has been the limited flexibility in transitioning to roles or projects that align with my evolving career aspirations. Despite the company’s vast opportunities, the internal mobility process can sometimes be lengthy or restrictive. Additionally, while TCS offers great resources and support, the work-life balance can be challenging at times, especially when managing personal commitments alongside work. For example, my current health situation has made me realize the importance of flexible arrangements like work-from-home options, which are sometimes limited based on project needs. Working in TCS has a lot of benefits like work life balance, job security, opportunity for Learning and growth, company culture is also very good and feels the work we are doing is having impact.overall, it is very good company to work and learn.

Dislikes

The only problem is with the salary and appraisal which is not good. The appraisal totally depends on manager and hr and salary hike is also very low otherwise it is a very good company to work and learn.

No hikes. Even if you get good rating from manager/project but bands will be distribute like lottery system and if you get D band then your salary will get decreased. No skills. No work . Long time on bench. If you're a fresher please don't join this company. This company is only for the experienced who has more than 15 years. Worst RMG, Hr management. No free cab or bus facility.
