I was hired and within 2 months of joining, my manager from Hong Kong was laid off, and one by one management members (who interviewed me) with whom I was working were laid off and finally after just 7 months I was told my role is at risk, total nonsense, why would you hire if you yourself were not sure about your job. The leave policy is the best thing about Standard Chartered Bank. All the employees should take 10 days block leaves as per company norms across all the regions. The internal movement is hassle free here if we complete 12 months in the current role. Only thing is we should develop the contacts.
Work culture is really like typical Indian culture. Hiarachy and the office environment across the bank is very bad. People will respect you based on the Grade you are in. The respect will be given only if we are AVP or VP positions. When it comes to new comers, the existing employees literally play with the new employees because they didn't get the promotion and their dirty politics really bad.

The company was good two years back i.e. until 2023. Good projects and managed work life balances even in the tough times. But we have flexible hybrid model which is good at SCB GBS Pvt Ltd
Last two years no promotions, no increments. no replacements for the employees who left company.
