The kind of support for self learning it provides is enormous. Work life balance is at its best. Learning from work is good.

Growth and onsite opportunities are not up to the mark. Better compensation should be placed Shares and other benefits should also be given to employees.

0% job security, got laid off with 9 months in the organisation, my manager from Hong Kong got laid off 2 and half months after I joined and my manager in Bangalore got laid off about 5 months after I joined and finally came my turn, management was nice but they were not even sure about their own jobs and they hired me, not a freasher, I was band 6 - associate director/senior manager level. The leave policy is the best thing about Standard Chartered Bank. All the employees should take 10 days block leaves as per company norms across all the regions. The internal movement is hassle free here if we complete 12 months in the current role. Only thing is we should develop the contacts.

Work culture is really like typical Indian culture. Hiarachy and the office environment across the bank is very bad. People will respect you based on the Grade you are in. The respect will be given only if we are AVP or VP positions. When it comes to new comers, the existing employees literally play with the new employees because they didn't get the promotion and their dirty politics really bad.
