This is not about punjab national bank. At present all Indian specially nationalise banks are in bad shape because of political interference, fast promotions, lack of initiative among young technically qualified to learn the practical banking which comes after years of practical experience.

Lack of decision taking at all level

Till 2014 we enjoyed a lot while working in pnb. But now things changed. In spite of working whole day beyond working hours, in evening, every employee while going home feel negative energy.

It is s great Financial public sector Bank. Govt direct intervene in the matter of big borrowers and mass loans to poors have have badly affected the banks' performance and big loans have become NPA . Banks have suffered losses and employees / retirees have demoralized with great stress of work and long sitting .And their salaries/pensions are 40 % less then govt employees/retirees which were more in the 1980. PNB is innovative, adopts latest technology. It is a bank which extends all sorts of cooperation to customers. Marketing is robust. Always researches for innovative idea in all sorts of banking services. It's auditing department is strong and have a good team of auditors. Staff members are happy working with this bank because it has a good human relations policy.

I don't have any disliking for my erstwhile employer.

It is swadeshi bank founded by Lala Lajpat Rai. It’s traditional banking is marvellous. It’s customer service is also marvellous. It is largest Public sector bank in India.
