I like tge support i have got from management during my hard times, its employee centric firm which is good .

Dislikes

People just grow old here, there is no development, the parameters for growth should be relooked, sometimes management acts blind or prtial, there is no appreciation small or big. I compared to my team get paid less, there is no particular pay scale..or market corrections.

I have seen both good and bad management in Optum. My work is simple but very montonous..learning here is not dynamic.

Nothing found new. Till now it the overall experience is terrible.

There are couple of things which are really horrible and will make anyone surprised who is really experienced and worked in multiple companies. Let's notice few points :- 1. Micro Management - Even the loo breaks are being noticed and discussion on floor is considered as break. 2. Hiring Failure :- Not hiring the right resources to the right place. E.g. A person who carries 12 years experience in OTC (Cash Application) domain was hired for medical billing process. Just think how will he or she survive, down the line he or she will be looking for changes. 3. Poorest Training Functions :- No trainings for the people who don't have healthcare background and which is making people low productive and lack of confidence. Even management knows the fact but blaming people who don't have healthcare background. 4. No transparency in variable payout - There is no transparency in how the QVC is calculated and a big difference in QVC written in offer letter and QVC is given internally. 5. Management believes in procrastination and if something goes wrong then the supervisors are being hold faulty for the failures....Read More
