I got opportunity to restart my job after a break.

Dislikes

Client is God, even if client is doing things unethically it cannot be highlighted. Some of my colleagues were badly abused and exploited, when they complaint, they were released from project without taking any actions. HCL fill seats of projects with family or friends of client which results in bad culture and dirty politics withinproject. Here people work for their own survival not for learning or innovation. HRs in HCL never respond or rudely respond to queries raised which further demotivate the zeal of a person working at HCL. Appraisal cycles are always delayed and postponed. More than 6 months delay in appraisal cycles. No appraisal if you are L3 band and above 20LPA. My last two appraisals were zero. Management politics. Management too much egoistic.

Everything else is a dislike. There is no skill development, managers behave like 'sarkari babus'. Higher management is unreachable...too many restrictions...you can't even open YouTube (imagine!) Many more dislikes but I don't really want to waste my time n energy listing them down here

Good annual full body checkup for employees and their family

Dislikes

Recruiter promised that I will be receiving the entire variable pay for the first year but I received only for a month and from second month I have not even received 50 percent. No hike/night shift allowance for E3 and above bands . Every project have 3 managers (reporting manager, service managers, who will be part of HCL for 10 or 15 years ) , and who used to micromanage to an extreme, they will ask you to work on company holiday and they won’t approve your comp off or Pay for the holiday. Job security nothing more than that and so many projects have very pathetic work environment managers are egotistic and not a manager as skill just based on tenure spend their life in HCL and they don’t have good increment or roles so all the frustration to the new resources who have much package and knowledge.

No Increment even achieved top rating in the team. No promotion, No on-site opportunity (just for favourites)

HR team is worst in HCL. No promotions, no growth, they deduct salary without any justifiacation. You will be hired for X work and will assign you Y work!!!! No clarity why hired X skill set manpower when required Y skill set.

Nothing is in favour of employees and slogan of company like super charged progress seems super charged in salary deduction. There is no policy in HCL and whatever HR will say that is the policy even they don't follows there made policy. Leave policy is not good, very less leaves. Bench policy is not at all good, there is always a situation if you don't get the project you have to leave the company. No increment letter received since last 2 years.

Management doesn’t care about the valuable resources. Management don’t care about ye people skills. Resources are not being utilised as per their skills. Too much favouritism, too old people in the system who are still working on the manual tasks when everything is running on automation and AI. Same kind of data being asked by management so many times which affects the productivity of technical people. Upper management is not aware what their team members are doing they ask technical people to provide your productivity.
