While being employed during my time at 2023 year to 2024 year it was a good experience but the learning modules set and performance to be met was set at a high level for me which was not being met. That can be found by the company records.

Dislikes

Certain people being HR's still not very prominent. Knowing the difference between certain cultures and disparity but many people i did interact with on a physical look basis and physical hand to hand friendly greeting.

If you are lucky enough to be part of the right team, you'll have good work life balance and a good team culture where you'll at least not be absolutely terrified of Mondays and drag through your week for the weekend. The leave policy was good while I was working at EYGBS. My team and team culture was devoid of toxic politics and I had the opportunity to decide what I want to do.

EY GBS job descriptions are basically shopping wish lists. Once you enter the role you'll figure nobody actually has a single skill mentioned in the JD also, the actual job is far from what the initial expectation was. The hiring process is a nightmare, salary is miniscule, almost every function has absolute chernobyl level toxicity, leaders favour their own people. Talent is colluded with head hunters for hiring and you'll get zero results on applying directly to career page. I was a part of an internal support team and had access to data and people from various functions in EY GBS. There is an Assistant Director at Gurgaon Assurance EM who always pokes, finds fault at others, blames others and creates mentral trauma for his team members whom he does not like. He carries unconscious biasness and does favor to his loved ones only. Many from his span want to quit job because of him.

I was a college hire and laid off me within 5 months. Before my convocation they lay off me. Please don't join Saurabh Joshi, Nilakshi, Akshay's team.

1. Worst work culture. 2. Lot of partiality, they have office in Bangalore for name sake. 80% to 90% Promotions will be for Noida people. Only 10% - 20% from Bangalore. Even though candidates are worthy they still promote Noida Employees rather than promoting Bangalore Candidates. Most of the leadership sits in Noida. 3. For communication they mostly use Hindi then secondary would be English. Even it 10 or 200 members connect/forum, they still discuss in Hindi. They don’t bother that you understand or not 4. HR are also for Name sake, if you complain on any of higher management they will discuss internally with them and target that person and also HRs are very Hard to reach. 5. Micro Management 6. You will fed up with filling more than 3 timesheets every single day. 7. There are no procedures for any thing, etc.. my list will go on. But this is more than enough. Employee engagement. Their employee satisfaction reviews seems fake and manipulative, mostly. The Partner won’t let you spend the budget to your team member and it’s their tendency to put themselves in limelight that he is the sole owner of your life. I don't like the so much dirty politics of manager sitting on senior manager position. They are so pathetic never encouraged, appreciate hard working deserving employees.

I really don't like involvement of QA senior manager in year end discussion, when they don't really involve through the year any discussion with employees. They never engaged with employees just for rating discussion they are included which is really not good. I have worked with EY for approximately 5 years and felt at comfort with few managers since they were very cooperative and understanding. The company promotes culture of flexible working hours in some teams.

Dislikes

1. Undue work pressure in non busy seasons and not letting charge time 2. Huge politics during promotions and increment cycle end. 3. Mental pressure due to unrealistic deadlines. 4. Leadership misuses their power to shut down employees raising voices against malpractices. 5. EY GDS not always following global audit guidelines.

There is no work life balance and seniors and managers are very unsupportive, always terget the colleagues. Internal politics are the major part of the EY. All the employees who working 10years continually they treat ourselves as the CEO of this company. Overall I do not recommend anyone to working with this organisation. Especially EY GDS Gurgaon based location.

EY GDS is not what I was used to be prior covid. Many things have changed, too much internal politics, Team size have gone big which is impacting the overall culture and people have come up with their own ways to woo the higher managers/leadership and get a floor visibility. So its a harsh truth but yes its a fact.

Dislikes

People who are working here for more than 12-15 years have now moved to a leadership position. Now all they themselves are interested in pursuing their own hobbies (oustside work e.g. Yogam Travelling, Blogging, Youtube, etc) and expect juniors to work 24x7

- On learning side, learn whatever you want. - Brand Name (Although internal people itself don't respect) - Big exposure to enterprise level clients (But useless, as of poor leadership and political, insecure people) - EY as a brand is the best, but internal managers and leadership is itself chewing EY's real value, as per legal rights in india no one can do job and own a business, but managers stole ideas from team then invest in idea and running businesses side by side, on other hand team who don't know anything, steal ideas from other member and get fav of their managers. - Insecure leadership and senior level professionals - Silent harassments at every level if you don't be favorite of seniors and leadership - Fake expertise - Worst culture - Non-Visionary leadership & management - If EY's partners level people are un-biased and focus on true leadership, fake management can be removed and EY can achieve greater business value, which is being used for personal matters. (My 5 Ideas got sold by management for greater money value instead of working on them in EY, still we can't report for our job safety because everyone is silently makes joint profits) - Micro management by team members to be in the fav list of managers/SM/ED's, where they itself on side coin insults those managers, Better Advice: Come to office sit quietly, work and leave. - Policy of no tolerance on wrong, still SM's itself guide in calls to help in clearing internal exams and help seniors in their projects, if u want project from that SM. - Promotions & better financial health are only for fav people of M/SM/ED's, even they don't get compliant every year, stating they're senior's and are experts & even training for financial savings is only given to Seniors and above from partners. - M/SM/Ed's only bring projects for their favorites. - Forcing complaint in certifications every year from team side is always for Staffs ONLY neither seniors, nor M/SM/ED's....Read More
