For me totally, I don’t think that there are dislike about EY

The culture in my team (Business Consulting) is good. It’s a hybrid working model and increment and promotion system is good. Work pressure is usually manageable but highly depends on clients too. Overall a good experience!
In case of difficult clients the work culture gets excessively complex and toxic. Learning curve is very limited. There is monotony of work.

IT support and Learnings (if by chance you get time for that) is great , rest nothing is good.
Almost Nothing to like, no work-life balance, client -client and always client is the priority, multiple clients with multiple projects have been burdened on single person and even if you work your best, they will count on the project where your performance lagged.

The work environment at EY is really good. The working policy is flexible. Along with work there are social events, team building activities and a good leave policy which really enhance the working experience at EY.
Though there is flexibility in working hours, during interim and busy seasons it is expected to work for 11-12 working hours which is quite stressful. Your better working experience will also be dependent on the team that you get aligned to.

In Tech Consulting the management is not bothered until you keep clients happy. You enjoy a freedom and flexibility to work as per client team. You won't be micromanaged from EY.
Hikes are less, even if your feedback was nice. It's like everyone gets the same hike, irrespective of the individual performances.

But not enough and nothing is enough to completely dismantle your work-life balance and your private life as well.Company culture: Worst. Plagued with internal politics and favouritism. Kolkata branch especially has deep-rooted nepotism so do make friends with the ones who have familiar connections with the top brass (If you're an unfortunate employee in the Kolkata branch). Job security: Officially EY doesn't believe in the hire-and-fire culture as communicated quite vocally by the HRs, but unofficially and as the truth is about them, if you get on the wrong footing with the seniors, they will make it a personal mission to see you're thrown out of the company. Promotions: Be on the good books of the nepo colleagues and they will have a good word for you with the higher management (their relatives) and viola! You have been promoted!
