Almost Nothing to like, no work-life balance, client -client and always client is the priority, multiple clients with multiple projects have been burdened on single person and even if you work your best, they will count on the project where your performance lagged.

The work environment at EY is really good. The working policy is flexible. Along with work there are social events, team building activities and a good leave policy which really enhance the working experience at EY.

Dislikes

Though there is flexibility in working hours, during interim and busy seasons it is expected to work for 11-12 working hours which is quite stressful. Your better working experience will also be dependent on the team that you get aligned to.

In Tech Consulting the management is not bothered until you keep clients happy. You enjoy a freedom and flexibility to work as per client team. You won't be micromanaged from EY.

Dislikes

Hikes are less, even if your feedback was nice. It's like everyone gets the same hike, irrespective of the individual performances.

Managers don't bother about their sub ordinates, neither are interested to have any healthy conversations. Crapy salary hike, no promotion, no skill upliftment.

I had a great time at EY. I was surrounded by very hard working people who set very high standards and very good example. The Leadership under whom I work was very supportive and helpful.

The demands of work is high and pace of work is quite fast. Even though I enjoyed it. But it may not be for everyone

Only thing that is good with EY, is it’s reputation, which is also not correct.

EY is not at all a employee friendly company. Employees have to suffer a lot even for basic information. There is no specified department or person for employees query. Also, they something thing and give something as salary, they try to deduct salary as much as possible. The company's work culture is very good, with timely salary payments, a supportive team, and opportunities to learn and grow. The company is great if you're working on a client-side project. However, if you're working on an internal project, there is no job security.

The company senior forcefully told the candidates, "You can resign on your own, otherwise, I will terminate you."

Work-life balance: There is none. Additionally, get ready to have your private space invaded. Skill development: None to offer whatsoever. Redundant work with close to nothing in terms of improvement. Salary: Pays well. But not enough and nothing is enough to completely dismantle your work-life balance and your private life as well.Company culture: Worst. Plagued with internal politics and favouritism. Kolkata branch especially has deep-rooted nepotism so do make friends with the ones who have familiar connections with the top brass (If you're an unfortunate employee in the Kolkata branch). Job security: Officially EY doesn't believe in the hire-and-fire culture as communicated quite vocally by the HRs, but unofficially and as the truth is about them, if you get on the wrong footing with the seniors, they will make it a personal mission to see you're thrown out of the company. Promotions: Be on the good books of the nepo colleagues and they will have a good word for you with the higher management (their relatives) and viola! You have been promoted! Or, get on their bad books and see yourself getting thrown out the next year or so. Yes, work isn't a qualifying metric for promotions, sadly. Very un-structured org. No defined processes. One is made to take up lot of admin work on subjects that they have never done before which deviates from their main KPI. Hence, job satisfaction is zero.
