I worked as an associate translation coordinator. The management is terrible. If your team lead dislikes you for something that's not your fault, be ready to put down your papers because somehow they will make you leave. Seen many colleagues leave just because they wanted to stay safe. If you're tough enough to sacrifice your personal life, ready to work during weekends, especially Saturday nights, go for it. The amount they pay is slightly better but if you're a contract/freelance employee you need to wait till the painful middle of the month. And rarely do they hire for day shift. Any grievances or complaints to HR would not work because you can't reach the manager directly but will have to talk to the HR executives and your grievances take a lot of time to get resolved.Be prepared if you're considering this company....Read More

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
