Where do I start? I discovered a vulnerability with cross-site scripting on their website. I went to turn it in but their IT team forwarded me to security, security forwarded me to HR, and HR told me to call my recruiting agent. From this I contacted my recruiting agent outlining the vulnerability that I had found and even provided the CVE link from Mitre as a reference and even showed a way to fix the problem. I am an experienced pentester and vulnerability analyst. I simply needed a job at the time so that I could move. I took their online interview answering honestly and doing my best to show them my IT knowledge. 2 days later I woke up to an email that said I had not been hired for the job. In my opinion, this was weird. Considering I had the knowledge to find the vulnerability, document it, and offer solutions to it that no IT member on the company or security team could fix. Yet I was told I was "not a good fit for the company". On top of that, they prefer if you live alone so I apologize to all the married people out there. you have to face away from any windows and have them covered with curtains. And I was told that having a dog in the room was considered a security breach. Because yes my dog is gonna do a lot with the information he gathers from my computer screen. Lastly, the pay for all the requirements they put you through is pretty low for IT. Live alone, go through 5 weeks of training, and can't miss a single day in the first 90 days beyond. that. Was told if I wanted to move across the country I'd have to do it on one of my days off. Very bad experience....Read More
