Cognizant has strong capebilities in delivering technology services with a robust support. People are satisfied working here but since past couple of years company has not given ample opportunitiesto employees in terms of growth and compensastion

If you swith to Cognizant, they will provide good salary compared to other service based company. They also push their associate for skill development with regular certification drive.

Dislikes

The appraisal system dropped drastically in couple of years. Very minimum salary hike with high ratings.

Promotion cycle/criteria changes recently adopted (Internal Job Moves) - allowing supervisors to promote the resources to next level without a specific criteria. This is creating official platform for favourability.

Cognizant bench policy is bad, they give less days to get yourself into a project. Also salary hike is low.

Authoritative Leadership, Office politics, Biased opportunities and performance reviews. Forced attrition. Insurance policy is not good. Delayed hikes and promotions, Extended work hours due to hybrid work policy. Pets take most of the perks unless you work so hard that they have to share some. However, these are most common things that you will come across all IT companies. Just learn to survive, upskill and excel. Bad company culture Slave system Compulsory WFO for 5 days a week 3%hike that too delayed by 6 months Toxic Managers Useless HRs Hired us through campus placements as programmer analyst and gave us service desk role. No training was provided by company and cheated us . We were around 1000+ who got the same support roles after being selected as programmer analyst from campus.

Liked the policies that is shown publicly or that a employee will feel initially but later when employees faces problems there is no guidelines and proper accountability.

Dislikes

The internal policies and politics are very bad. The managers are too arrogant. There is no way the employee can provide appraisal to the managers. There should be a appraisal process for Managers from employees as some companies are having.
