I have been assigned to client very next day I joined this company, I was holding few offers Cognizant softvision ( Cognizant now) offered more than my highest offer. But that was my mistake to join it base on ctc. They lined me up with their client full time with them. Not even a single call/ email from my Cognizant management to ask any thing. I was a labor hired by cognizant given to 3rd party. Only salary message i got from cognizant nothing else. Client suddenly ended contract and then cognizant lined up my few interviews i had to crack any of those sudden interviews without preparing, you have to clear. Its hard to suffer in this situation. Ever 6-8 month you have to change your project. what ever you perform in project and worked hard to client does not mean anything as contract ends and no one knows about your task or work done. Allot of thing, Cognizant management don't know anything what is happening in client side. Bad luck to me was my manager from cognizant side was also new he dont knw any process or anything if i asked any help from him. Not recommended to join.

There is no company level interaction. They will hire you, once you in no one will interact with you from cognizant side. Full time you have to work with client. No manager interaction , no one is there with you if something happens to you. There is concept of Home manager and business manager, both are there for no reason. They will not help in any case. If you have problem they will hear you once you ping them and no action.What ever you perform in client side even you are best or worst hike will happen on average. No impact of working hard or best performance, your hike will be very average. I prefer NOT TO JOIN THIS COMPANY. They will offer 2-3 lakh extra from market and due to those 2-3 lakh you have to suffer allot. Allot of things But to conclude i want to say DO NOT join this company. You will have to switch again in 1 year. They will give you 2-3 lakh extra and joining bonus also and joining bonus will have 1 year bond. So you will wait for 1 year to leave this company. There is nothing special yo like. Its just like other companies.
Officially 10 hrs working per day. No shift allowance for early morning and late evening shift. Specific to my project, calling to office even in this covid situation though proj is not critical.

As working here is quite good when your manager is cooperative. Though In previous two years work and manager both was good no complaints for them and i worked from home till now and everyone was cool.
Now during current project my so called manager is psycho. Here in cognizant manager also do coding but he is like only I have to do everything and he just wants credit for it. Even to other squads he is like only he is doing work. He oftenly insulted me and two other team mates. I talked with my home manager but no benefit. Only you have to suffer in that scenario.

I can list innumerable dislikes. 1. HR role is not in line with his or her work, and seeing such service from such an MNC, particularly in Kolkata office, truly hurt me. 2. I believe that the best way to force the company to leave on its own volition is through favoritism, which is the most advantageous attack by the poor managementof the Kolkata office. 3. Working at cognizant really helps me a lot both in personal and professional way .The work life balance & company culture was good and the allowances they provide apart from the salary was excellent...I really enjoyed my 3 years at Cognizant.
One thing I dislike about these companies are there is no guarantee of job security...they will pick 10/15 employees and moved them to different project within the company (internal movement)..which I think is a part of business but needs to be reviewed....

As a whole cognizant is excellent. They provide excellent skill development.
At Hyderabad location a manager called sankalp is very rude and very miss behaved person and a manager called simran they both handle google projects since they both are friends. They have favouritism in them very worst managers because of them many employees drop. And cognizant is loosing its name.

Even if medical documents are submitted they will apply NCNS. People who are issued warning letter for abusing on floor, fighting on floor are given promotion as they are favourite,lickiers 😛🍑chatus. Management has created there own family on floor which includes bhai, behne, bhabhi, devar, jeth, jethani, nand, soutan and Big Daddy. Management needs full gossip of every employe.
