Cognizant has strong capebilities in delivering technology services with a robust support. People are satisfied working here but since past couple of years company has not given ample opportunitiesto employees in terms of growth and compensastion

If you swith to Cognizant, they will provide good salary compared to other service based company. They also push their associate for skill development with regular certification drive.

Dislikes

The appraisal system dropped drastically in couple of years. Very minimum salary hike with high ratings.

Stability is good. Though in the ongoing global recession, many of my co-workers had to leave projects because of project ramp down and did not get any other projects. Instead of recruiting employees from bench in other projects they are hiring more from people outside.

Dislikes

Appraisal is bad. So joining with low salary does not help much in the long run, better to switch.

Work depends upon what project you get. Had a chance to work on a small project from scratch.

Work timings are pathetic. You work at your regular timings and still have to login later for client calls. In my case mostly extending till midnight. The hybrid culture here is totally unproductive. Upper management is worse, expects you to be available anytime for calls.

The list is endless. Poor management of accounts. They give importance only to clients but not to resources. Resources are treated like third class citizens. if you in bench, HR will torture you to put resignation within one month. also you have no option to choose project and select anything worst comes to you. no proper shift allowances will provided. they have zero 0% for mental health 100% for work.

Cognizant will not pay you well , Even if you are eligible for a better pay at the correct time they will release you from the project so that they don't have to promote you

Auto Promotion seems to be a good thing however, I didn't get it as I am completely 2 years with organization
