Lots of favouritism, regional biasing, managers are not aware of the work that is being done by the employees. Calling oneself as a people manager shouldn't mean blatant politics and nothing else. Awareness on what's going on in the team is basic quality in a manager which the managers in all products lack majorly. For freshers, firstly they have a bond of 2 years which they consider as a noose around a committed right out of college ambitious employee to suck the life out of them and then when it comes to getting a much deserved promotion at the end of 2 years, they enforce another rubbish concept of finishing a project along with the work you're doing based on which you'll be promoted else it'll be deferred by another 6 months unless you complete the useless and baseless project.
