Work quality is very bad. You might be doing implementation and operations work 90-99% if the time. Promotion is limited and often deiced on unknown parameters. No feedback mechanism is installed for you to improve. Never start your career here. Mid-level roles are easy to get from outside and growth within the company is bad. You can become a manager in 4-5 years if you are coming from outside but internally it would take you 6-8 years....Read More

Long hours of work, i have worked for good 16 hours a day for a month, in return I got appreciation email with coupons of 2000 rupees. Funny thing is I started developing signs of spondylitis. When I asked HR to give paid leaves due to medical reasons she told me that it's not in company policy. You have to die working for Accenture.

There are ample opportunities for one to explore various industries to get an experience of how each business works. Learning initiatives & access to licenses are quite great & also support for higher distant learning courses from universities (reimbursable with 2 year lock 50% +50% ). The growth in terms of climbing up the ladder is a bit slower compared to startups & other firms. Lot of hierarchy & procedure. The salaries compared to industry standards are well below average. They do pay well for extraordinary talent but for a similar skill sets one would definitely be valued much more outside Accenture.

Good learning curve. Good use cases at times which makes way for knowledge growth.

Appraisals and Promotions are random. Less deserving people are promoted. People who are leading even their seniors and delivering complex projects by taking complete ownership are not given promotion. Incentives for hard work is minimal. Something else apart from MERIT drives promotions here.

I would say this whole-ly depends on the client and the team you end up in. The people you work with on a daily basis, the developers you interact with, the testers and POs. In terms of work ethic and deliverable quality, I feel I work with the best minds in this team, and that makes me want to become and push my skillset.

The team you work with, work life balance goes in a shambles. Zero Socializing, teams meets, anything that isnt work, doesnt have space on the calendar of the team i work in. Been with this current client of mine for close to 2 years and i haven't met anyone from the team, other than knowing what they sound like, i have no clue about them. Being paid in peanuts, not meeting people, weekends are workdays at times. It kind of starts to get to you, but at times it feels like everyone is going through the same and we cant complain. on they are also reducing the team size by more than 50% stating budgeting issues? which from an employees perspective doesnt make sense....Read More
